Frequently Asked Questions

Why Genesis?

Well, we’ll give you two main reasons. We’re good at what we do (helping our clients be successful), and we’re fun to work with. You’d be amazed how often our light-hearted attitudes in the middle of a rigorous work schedule helps put our clients at ease. Life is short. Let’s have fun.

How is Genesis different from other companies?

Genesis offers media and marketing strategy in addition to full-service media creation. That means you don’t need a separate advertising agency if you work with Genesis. However–and this is important–we are GLAD to work with your existing agency to deliver first-rate media content of all types. We have wonderful working relationships with many talented agencies and in-house marketing departments, and we are very respectful and protective of those existing relationships. Whether you work with an agency or not, the goal is always the same: to help YOU be successful.

Do you have a rate sheet?

Yes, and no. We have rates we charge for very specific services, but it is rare that clients come to us with a predetermined list of services they need. Usually, our clients have goals and objectives, and we work together to determine how best to accomplish them. As a result, most of our budgets are project-specific–even if those budgets are part of an ongoing, recurring relationship with that client. Our approach is always to determine goals and objectives, determine the available budget, then determine the best solution to accomplish those goals within that budget. This is the definition of giving you the most bang for your buck. There’s nothing better we can do to ensure long-lasting client relationships than to help you be successful (and have fun while doing it)!

How much does it cost to rent the studio(s)?

There are many variables involved in studio pricing. Please fill out our Studio Estimate Request Form, and we’ll get back to you with a price or follow-up questions. We require a Certificate of Insurance (COI) with Genesis Studios as loss-payee for all studio rentals. With rare exceptions, we only rent the studio in full-day increments. We do not offer hourly rentals.

What kinds of businesses do you work with?

We work with businesses and organizations of all types, sizes, and needs. Our step-by-step development process ensures that we have clear goals and objectives, a well-defined target audience, a clear message, clear expectations, and clear measurables. That process translates wonderfully to any business and is a key to our versatility. When you combine a well-established strategic process with our creativity, the results are usually predictable: success for our clients (no matter the size or industry).

I’ve seen some of your crazier commercials. What if that’s not what I’m looking for?

You’ve seen our crazier commercials (and you remember them) because they work for those clients. However, every client is different, and we would never propose something off-the-wall unless it 1) fits the client’s brand, and 2) will help you be successful. The crazy commercials are very high profile (hence why you’ve seen and remember them), but they represent a fraction of what we do. Most of our clients would not fall into that same category. We love to help our clients stand out from the crowd, but there are many ways of accomplishing that that do not involve costumes or off-the-wall ideas.

Is The Last Jedi the worst movie ever made?

No, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is worse. In fact, we have a standing decree that if anyone shows Crystal Skull in our Genecinema theater, they will immediately be fired (not kidding). However, both moves are painfully terrible and make us very sad. So we made a cool Millennium Falcon room here at the studio that makes us feel better as we remember the good ol’ days when Star Wars was great.

Were Ross and Rachel on a break?

I think we all know the answer to this.

Why are we here?

You’re not. You’re there, and we’re here. But you’re welcome to come here and see our studio.
