On Monday, December 5th, Youth Corps (a youth leadership program here in SC) stopped by for their annual visit. Students learn via “modules”–real-world experiences where they get to meet leaders in different aspects of life. These include: government, community service, starting a business, arts and culture, media, and more.
When the students visit Genesis each year, they get a crash course in commercial production. Four groups of students write, act, shoot, and direct their own commercials. Genesis staff then judge the “winner”. Genesis has supported YC almost from its beginning 18 years ago.
